Deutsches Sprachdiplom

The Alexander von Humboldt School is approved as an institution to host the exams for the "Deutsche Sprachdiplom (DSD) der KMK". This language certificate serves as proof of qualified German language skills.

Students from German language schools in Montreal and Ottawa as well as AvH students from Grade 11 complete their oral and written exams.

The DSD is required in order to be accepted as an international student into a "Studienkolleg" (preparatory courses, DSD I) or at university (DSD II) in Germany. The certificate is also widely considered a valuable qualification in the economy.
