Students from Alexander von Humboldt German International School (AvH) and Jewish Herzliah High School attracted media attention while participating in a simulated Nazi War Crime Trial at Palais de Justice in Montreal.
AvH Students played the role of
prosecutors and argued passionately and expertly the simulated trial of Rudolf
Kasztner, who was posthumously prosecuted for crimes against Humanity allegedly
committed by him during the Second World War. AvH’s age mates from the private
Jewish School represented the defendant. Students from Miss Edgar's and Miss
Cramp's School, an all-girls Montreal school, were acting as the jury. The case
was presented in front of judge Honorable Stephen Hamilton of the Superior
